Beginning with our first lion Mufasa, Mbidi Animal Sanctuary has made its mission the compassionate care of captive, injured and abandoned animals

Education through interaction, Mbidi works with the public to ensure and secure awareness for the humane treatment of all animals worldwide and the longevity of some of the planet’s most awe-inspiring species.

Due to the close nature of the work with our animals, we are staunchly opposed to all types of sport and profit hunting and actively promote the hope that future generations will continue to be able to view these magnificent animals in the wild.
